Website Trends: Launching Soon Pages

  (by )

If you’re thinking of creating a coming soon page for a project or website you’re working on, then check out some of my favourite launching soon pages for inspiration!

These coming soon pages are creative and unique, and they have some really cool features you might want to include on your own launching soon page, such as links to social media accounts or other projects and contact forms visitors can use to subscribe to updates, request invites, or send submissions.  Some of these launching soon pages also include job listings, donation buttons, countdown timers, videos and articles about the project, and profiles of the people behind it.

I’ve also found some free and premium templates you can customise to create your own coming soon page for your website or project!

That “DUET” / Let’s Dance design is really cool. It’s almost better than our real website.

These pages are a great idea, but if you have a counter please update it if the site launch is delayed, have been to a couple of websites where the counter says zero, nothings happened and there’s no explanation why!

TripFab is the best example I’ve seen of a ‘coming soon’ page – http://www.tripfab.com

I still have no idea what it does but the holding page intrigued me enough to bookmark it, sign up for the beta release and tell friends so it’s clearly working 🙂

Wow, thanks for the list! A coming soon page is also wonderful for creating some SEO and Link traffic while you are still in development. I really love the examples you provided.

As well as creating a buzz around your business before it launches, landing pages can be useful for SEO. Getting cached by Google will reduce the lead time to ranking well organically.

I could say that this would really help me and I have to agree with you that this is a good idea – to personalize the “coming soon” page. The real benefit is that it can create a buzz around your business before having a real presence online.

It’s not really that rare to find sites that have a timer of 00:00:00 and a big ‘coming soon’. Some sites just need to learn how to manage their time!

i do like the idea of the timer, a lot of the time you go to a website that says ‘launching soon’ and never bother to go back as there is no time frame given. Great idea!

They’re so much better than the old plain html page I’m using. Are the prices one time or per site?
