Tutorial on How To Install CubeCart!

  (by )

Are you thinking of using CubeCart to create your own online store, but you don’t know how to install it?  Our tutorial on CubeCart installation takes you through every step of the process with screenshots and easy to understand directions! Just follow along with our tutorial, and you’ll have CubeCart installed in a matter of minutes!

Login to your cPanel and type “installatron” in the find box.  The Installatron icon will appear to the right of the box.

Click on the Installatron icon.  On the next page, type “CubeCart” in the search box and hit enter.

On the next page, click the “install this application” button.

On the next page, you will need to configure your CubeCart installation using the install wizard.

The Location section allows you to choose where you install CubeCart.  If you have multiple domains in your cPanel account, then you will need to select the desired domain from the Domain dropdown.

If you want people to be able to access your CubeCart installation by simply visiting your domain name, then leave the Directory field blank.  However, if you want people to access your CubeCart installation by visiting a URL like www.yourdomain.com/store, then you should type store in the Directory field.

The Version section allows you to choose which version of CubeCart to install, accept the license agreement, and manage automatic updates.

You can select the version of CubeCart you would like to install by using the Version dropdown.  We recommend always installing the latest version, as it will offer the most security and features.  If you want the admin area of your CubeCart site to use a language other than English, select your desired language from the Language dropdown.

Next, you can review the license agreement for CubeCart.  If you don’t want to accept the license agreement, then you will not be able to install CubeCart.

Next, you can manage your Automatic Update settings.  We recommend automatically updating to new minor versions and security releases, as this will help keep your CubeCart installation secure from hackers.

The Settings section allows you to customise your CubeCart installation.

You can enter the username, password, and email address for the admin area of your CubeCart site.  Please do not use “admin” or “administrator” as the username for the admin area of your site, as this will make your installation vulnerable to hackers.  Also, please choose a strong password for the admin area of your site to help make your website as secure as possible.  Make a note of your username and password; you will use these details to login to the admin area of your site.  The admin email address for your site is where all messages regarding updates, password resets, etc. will be sent.

Next, enter the title for your website.  This information will appear on your website, web browsers, and in search engine results.  You can update this information at a later date via the admin area of CubeCart.

The Advanced section allows you to choose whether or not you want to manage databases, email notifications, default backup locations, and automatic backups yourself.  Unless you are familiar with managing these settings, we recommend choosing to allow Installatron to automatically manage these settings for you.

Once you’ve configured your settings, click the Install button to begin installing CubeCart.

Once you’ve successfully installed CubeCart, you will be able to login to the admin area of your site by clicking the admin URL.

Enter your username and password, click “login”, and you’re ready to start building your online store with CubeCart!

Thanks a lot for your post!

You’re right, this article targets people who use cPanel and Installatron, so it’s not appropriate for every visitor. All of our clients use Installatron and cPanel, so it makes sense for us to teach them how to install applications using Installatron. We try to provide information that can be useful/interesting to everyone, but we also want to provide information specifically for the needs/abilities of Evohosting customers.

I hope that makes sense, and thank you again for your post!
