This week, we found some cool websites and applications that are designed to make your life easier and your website better! We found web applications that will keep you on task (or else!), track all of your favourite blogs (so you don’t have to!), help you make custom widgets for your site, design your own WordPress themes, and create personalised polls and surveys for your blog or website.
Write or Die is an awesome (and free!) tool for anyone who struggles with writing, because it will punish you if you stop typing! To use Write or Die, just enter the number of words you need to write, the amount of time you want to spend typing, then choose your grace period, and select your mode. If you don’t stay on task, then there will be consequences such as an irritating sound, a pop-up urging you to continue typing, or, if you choose Kamikaze mode, your content will unwrite itself!
Widgetbox is a great resource for free and premium widgets (small portable applications) that can help enhance the look and functionality of your website. They have so many widgets to choose from, like games, music players, countdown clocks, search engines, weather forecasters, and many more. Plus, Widgetbox lets you create your very own widget, customized to your website’s specific needs.
WordPress Theme Generator is an awesome free tool designed to help you create your very own theme for WordPress. The best part is that you can make a custom theme for your WordPress site without any knowledge of HTML, JS, PHP, or CSS; just customize your theme by pointing and clicking. Pretty cool, right?
Looking for a way to get feedback from your site’s customers? Or maybe you just want to make your blog more fun and interactive? Then check out 99 Polls! 99 Polls is a site that helps you create customized polls and surveys for your website or blog, and it is absolutely free to use!
