This week’s favourites include web sites to help you organise your bookmarks, get feedback on your designs, create colour palletes, create drawings via an online whiteboard, and find unique free and premium comic fonts!
If you’re sick of searching through your bookmarks for your favourite websites, then you should give Speedtile a try! With Speedtile, you simply bookmark the sites you frequently visit, and it will create snapshots of the pages which you can drag and drop into any order you choose. Then, make Speedtile your homepage, and you can navigate to all of your favourite sites simply by clicking on their screenshots! Speedtile is completely free to use, and there’s even an add-on for Firefox that allows you to right-click to save your favourite websites!
Concept Feedback is a great website for designers, web developers, and marketers who are in need of constructive criticism from other reputable professionals. To use Concept Feedback, simply create a free account, upload your work (logo, website design, advertisement, etc.), and other members will provide you with feedback you can use to improve your project. The best part is that each reviewer has a reputation score–based on a lot of factors, including the number people who agree with their reviews and the feedback they’ve received from other members on the quality of their work–so you know how much weight to give to someone’s opinion!
If you’re working on a project based upon a particular image, then you should check our Pictaculous, a free and easy to use colour palette generator. Simply upload the image you want to use, click ‘Get My Palette’, and Pictaculous will analyze the image and provide you with multiple complementary colour schemes. Just click on the colour palette you like best, and Pictaculous will provide you with the hex values and links to download the colour scheme using a variety of formats!
