This week’s favourites include some great free web design and development tools, including an image editor, a code cleaner, a table maker, a tool for adding custom watermarks to your images, and a pattern maker!

Do you want to create cool images for your website, but you can’t afford an expensive image editing program?  Then check out Splashup, a sophisticated tool for editing and managing photos and other images!  Splashup is free to use, it works in every web browser, and it boasts seamless integration with photo sharing sites like Flickr and Picasa.  If you’re new to image editing, then try downloading Splashup Light, an image editing program designed specifically for casual or inexperienced users!

Are looking for an easy way to clean up your website’s code?  Then check out WordOff, a free online tool that removes all of the unnecessary styles and tags from HTML code.  WordOff is so simple to use:  just copy your site’s code, paste it in the text box, click clean up, copy your trimmed down code, and paste it wherever you like!


Do you need to create a simple table to display data on your website?  Then check out Kotatsu, a free online table generator that is really easy to use!  Just create your table by clicking the ‘Add a row’ and ‘Add a column’ buttons until your table is the desired size, click generate HTML, copy the code, and paste it into your site–that’s it!  With Kotatsu, you can easily create a custom table in just a few clicks, making it a great time-saver!
