.CO Domains Available for £19.99!
Posted by: Tim M. // // July 21st, 2010 // General
You can now order your very own .CO domain for £19.99 + VAT.
Before you bother, we already looked — unfortunately, all cool words ending with .co (i.e., lo.co, cis.co, co.co, dis.co and tobac.co, other words ending with co) have already been taken. Sorry!
According to the people who run .CO, “It is associated with the words “COmpany”, “COrporation” and “COmmerce” –- the new .CO domain is easy to recognise and flexible to use.”
From our point of view, the new .CO TLD is useful if the .com version of your domain has already been taken; however, for the short term, we feel some people will get mixed up with .CO, .CO.UK and .COM. Also, some UK SEO experts are a bit uncertain about how a .CO domain could impact websites that need to be search engine optimised for the UK, as .CO is an international TLD.
