Vortex Migration

By Tim M.

If anyone has issues with the Vortex > Hydra migration please open a ticket, this blog post is to log what’s happened.

@ 0000 - Migration started.

@ 0015 - Databases rsync’d

@ 0130 - Sites running.

@ 0231 - MySQL won’t restart after being stopped - Fixing.

@ 0254 - MySQL issue was a file permission problem, all sorted now.

@ 0256 - Checked: http, https, pop3, smtp, webmail, ftp, dns - all services looking good.

@ 0257 - Starting final rsync of home directories

@ 0448 - So far I’ve found only a few issues with the migration, I continue to check through each main domain - please open a ticket if you have discovered a new issue.

Rsync of /home continues… I’ll do it again tomorrow night aswell.

That’s it for now - I’ll update this further if there are system wide issues.

We didn’t realise it was tonight at first, we missed a couple of info mails. Looks good from this end so far, best of luck..

Can’t get into any webmail so can’t get at my Client’s area password to log a ticket either….

Various error when trying to get into webmail, the most worrying is the message stating that there are “no email accounts configured for this domain.”

    Thanks Steve

Hi the Fantastico De Luxe doesn’t seem to be working I get the following error:

    Not Found

The server was not able to find the document (./frontend/x3/fantastico/index.php) you requested.
Please check the url and try again. You might also want to report this
    error to your webhost.

    Hello,

I’ve now got a good speedy access to all my emails whereas with vortex server the email access was 50 / 50 to say the least. I had to click and click and click links to get them to function. Fantastic to see everything is running well.

Heya, sorry I didn’t reply. These issues are all sorted, there is an issue with Awstats updates but simply open a ticket and we’ll switch it on so you can update it manually until the systemwide issue is fixed.

Fantastico was put on there on Sunday.

@ Oliver, strange you should say that - I use Hydra (and used Vortex) for my personal email and never had a problem (well, except for when the server did those really long FSCKs).
